About Iselmo

Iselmo looks closely at windows as active parts of a scene rather than simple architectural details. Their frames divide landscapes into measured sections, while their glass admits, reflects or obscures what lies beyond. A small opening in a rough wall can concentrate attention; a tall church window can stretch light across an otherwise dim interior. Curtains, droplets, shutters and deep recesses change the effect again, giving each threshold its own texture and pace. The photographs gathered here move between domestic stillness, travel, weathered façades and monumental buildings. Some scenes are bright enough to reveal every worn surface, while others reduce a figure or room to shadow. In each case, changing light supplies the drama without requiring spectacle. Iselmo presents these moments through grounded observation: the temperature of a glow, the direction of a beam, the weight of a dark wall and the subtle distance created by a pane of glass.

The collection brings together photographs and short editorial observations. Captions describe what can be seen; the notes offer a way to compare details without claiming a complete history of each object.
